Job Summary: ServiceNow is a global market leader in innovative AI-enhanced technology, seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their Business Continuity Management team. In this role, you will collaborate with developers and quality engineers to build both front end and back end applications on the ServiceNow platform, contributing to the development of features that safeguard critical business functions.
Responsibilities: • Build the best cloud software for businesses using a market leading development cloud platform. • Collaborate daily with a team of like-minded developers, product managers and quality engineers using agile software development methodology. • Master new areas and take ownership of features that matter to our customers. • Design features with a core commitment to quality and an eye to how the products will evolve in future releases. • Work in a Scrum-based Agile development process that is light on documentation and meetings and heavy on coding.
Qualifications:
Required: • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry. • 0 - 2 years of work experience in software development • Achieved no higher than a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field • Experience with debugging and testing software through a CI lifecycle • Experience with Java and/or Python, C/C++, OOP, and Design Patterns • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) • Some working knowledge and ability to use tools to assist with daily tasks (IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools)
Preferred: • experience with React, Jenkins, and/or Selenium is a plus
