Class 1 Truck Driver

Job SummaryNyx transportation inc is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance. LMIA is available Responsibilities

• Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving in various weather conditions.
• Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to keep the vehicle in good working condition.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
• Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts when necessary.
• Basic for minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
