Security Officer

We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to emergencies. • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or irregularities.
• Monitor CCTV systems continuously to oversee activity within and around the site.
• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism.
• Respond swiftly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary.
• Maintain detailed incident reports and log activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
• Enforce access control procedures by verifying authorised personnel and visitors.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents.
• Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable.
• Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
• Valid first aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided.
• Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly when necessary.
• A clean criminal record with the ability to pass background checks is required.
