About the Company A fast-growing, digitally enabled consumer business operating in a highly regulated environment, with strong momentum and ambitious growth plans. The finance team plays a central role in supporting scale, governance, and decision-making as the business continues to evolve.
The Opportunity This is a hands-on Senior Financial Accountant role reporting to the Head of Finance, with responsibility across month-end, statutory reporting, tax compliance and balance sheet integrity. You’ll also supervise a junior accountant and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as the finance function matures. The role suits a technically strong accountant who enjoys ownership, accountability, and operating close to the business in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities - Own the month-end close process, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting with analysis and commentary
- Maintain balance sheet integrity and compliance across all accounts
- Support year-end statutory accounts, audits and group reporting requirements
- Manage GST, FBT and payroll tax obligations and liaise with external tax advisors
- Research, document and maintain accounting and tax policies
- Mentor a junior accountant and support payroll and finance projects
About You - CA or CPA qualified
- 4–6 years’ experience in audit/ financial accounting
- High attention to detail with strong communication and stakeholder skills
