Job Description:
Description of Assignment French Immersion and Core French Grades 8-12. Subjects for French Immersion to be determined in consultation with school administration. Full-time, continuing. Effective September 1st, 2026.
Salary The salary of this assignment is based on our current salary grid and upon verification of your BC TQS as well as verification of years of service from previous employers. The current salary range is $63, 347.00 to $116, 190.00 per annum, paid over 10 months. Special Qualifications Required
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada. (French speaking applicants may qualify for LMIA exempt processing with Immigration)
  • BC Teaching Certificate with the Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Training and experience teaching at the secondary level
  • Fluency in both oral and written English and French

Teachers can expect to see the educational leaders in our District, up to 2 days prior to a Professional Development Day, offering hands on coaching both in the classroom and in sessions (evening or during the Professional Development Day). Our local teachers' union, the Cariboo Chilcotin Teachers' Association, also boasts strong collective agreement language regarding Professional Development as well as financial support for their members to engage in opportunities.
