We currently have an opportunity for a 2/1 FIFO Senior Project Engineer to join our project teams working on a large concrete infrastructure project in the Snowy Mountains in NSW. Reporting to the Project Manager, the scope of works includes the construction of complex FRP structures and associated civil works.

About the Role: As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be accountable for:
  • Interpreting specifications, draft and maintain drawings and plans, construction methods and procedures
  • Manage and mentor other Project Engineers, Site Engineers and graduates Lead support to the Project Manager, Construction Manager and wider Project team
  • Comprehensive understand the scope of work, specifications, work plans and drawings Develop detailed work programs for allocated work packages
  • Manage scope of work, equipment and materials, and ensure compliance
  • Identify variations in work packages and submitting list for review by Project Manager
  • Pro-actively manage costs within your control, to ensure project delivery within budget
  • Develop margin improvement strategies in conjunction with the Project Manager and teams
  • Prepare Project Specific Quality Management Plans and obtain approval from the Client
  • Allocating responsibility to staff to perform the QA/QC inspections and duties as defined in the project quality plan and related procedures
  • Develop Project specific Construction Management Plans and get the same approved by the client
  • Prepare and review internal ITPs, forms & checklists for approval by Client

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience working in a FIFO or DIDO capacity preferred
  • Strong FRP structures background specialist
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring small engineering project teams
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
