Site Engineer

Site Engineer required for a busy civil engineering sites across Midlands Our client is a busy subcontractor on a major project and is looking for a good Engineer to add to their team on site, working on setting out external works, some access roads and other civils work. The Site Engineer role will involve:

• Working for the main civils subcontractor on a large construction site
• Maintaining personal safety and environmental standards.
• Inspection of EMH(Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics) installation as per design.
• Knowledge of Design and specification of all Mechanical and electrical Building Services systems - heating, cooling, ventilation, controls, etc.
• Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works.
• Coordinate meetings between client and contractor.
• Coordinate between site team and design team.
• All setting out on site
• Provide accurate and clear setting out for works. Maintain material reconciliation figures for reporting.
• Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure full understanding of information provided.
• Arrange formal checking of setting out.
• Site surveys, as- built, inspections and monitor site works.
• Attending meetings on behalf of the main contractor
• Working with the management team

The ideal candidate for this Setting Out Engineer role will have:

• Good construction engineering background
• CSCS card
• Strong setting out experience
• 5+ years experience in construction industry
• A degree in civil engineering, Mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
• The following are desirable requirements:
• Successful experience at Assistant engineer level.
• Working towards achieving ICE Technician or Incorporated (preferred) level or equivalent.
