To be eligible for this position, applicant need to be PGY7+ at the time of commencement. Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focussed on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centred care. Medical Staff in the Canberra Health Services enjoy excellent conditions, and our Enterprise Agreement is available at: ACTPS Medical Practitioners Enterprise Agreement 2023 - 2026 Canberra Health Services (CHS) is dedicated to delivering high-quality, effective, person-centred care, providing acute, sub-acute, primary, and community-based health services to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding region. Join a robust medical team led by 50 FACEMs, including five PEMs, and a large Registrar cohort. Play a pivotal role in one of the busiest EDs in the country, with greater than 100,000 presentations annually, 25% paediatric caseload. We are the regional referral centre for Trauma, Paediatrics and Women’s health; and support ACT and a large area of southern NSW. The PGF is supervised by ED Specialists and will assist in the supervision of Junior Medical Officers, as well as provide direct clinical care for patients. The PGF will take part in the on-call consultant roster, with ED Staff Specialist backup on-call. Canberra was voted best city for Quality-of-Life 2025 (Oxford Economics). There is easy access to great restaurants, outdoor recreation and natural beauty, without the traffic of other major cities. It is especially recognized as a good place to raise a family. We have immediate access to National Parks, hiking, climbing and are 3 hours from both the beach and the snow.
