About the RoleYou will own day-to-day platform operations for containerised applications, drive automation with Infrastructure as Code, and collaborate closely with developers, QA, and SRE. This role suits someone who enjoys pragmatic engineering, measurable reliability, and mentoring teammates on modern DevOps practices.
What You'll Do:- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-prem and cloud) with high availability and autoscaling.
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Argo CD for zero-downtime deployments.
- Containerise services with Docker; implement blue/green and canary deployments with rollbacks.
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform and configuration with Ansible
- Implement observability stacks with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK, ensuring actionable alerts.
- Manage secrets and backups with Vault and Velero; validate disaster recovery procedures.
- Optimise cloud usage and costs on AWS/GCP/Azure while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product and engineering on SLIs/SLOs, deployment standards, and incident response.
- Document platforms and train teams on best practices and tooling.
About You- 2–5 years in DevOps/SRE/platform engineering roles.
- 2+ years of Kubernetes administration in production environments.
- 2+ years of building CI/CD pipelines and automating releases (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Argo CD).
- 1+ years of Terraform (IaC) and Ansible (config management) in production.
- Experienced in observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and incident response.
- Strong Linux fundamentals, Bash scripting, and networking basics.
- Solid understanding of Docker and Git.
- Cloud experience with at least one major provider (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure a plus).
- A clear communicator, collaborative team player, and pragmatic problem solver.
Bonus Skills (Depending on Project Requirements):- Experience with AWS Fargate or hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures.
- HA/load balancing with Nginx/HAProxy/ALB and traffic management for multi-service platforms.
- Supply-chain security and pipeline hardening.
- Cost optimisation and capacity planning
