Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our Friendly family run team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving issues across various vehicle systems. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate would also be willing to complete training to drive our recovery vehicle as and when required to do so.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire service, and alignment.
- Diagnose automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair and replace components of vehicle systems such as transmissions, powertrain, suspension, and shocks & struts.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs.
Experience- Previous experience as an Automotive Mechanic is required; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and understanding of automotive electrical systems.
- Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is a plus.
- Experience with diesel engine repair, air brakes, schematics, auto body repair, and auto estimating is advantageous.
- Strong skills in vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire service, brake repair, alignment, and general automotive repair.
