About the role We are seeking an experienced Creative & Production Director — a strategic creative leader with strong technical capability — to oversee all technical, production and creative elements of our weekend services, major events and broadcast environments. The successful candidate will combine vision-casting and storytelling with hands-on problem solving, leading staff and volunteer teams to deliver distraction-free, spiritually intentional experiences across our campuses. This is a full-time Head of Department role in FCC who reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: - Provide creative and production leadership for Sunday services, seasonal campaigns and major events, shaping service flow, storytelling, stage and screen aesthetics.
- Oversee all technical operations (audio, video, lighting and broadcast) for weekend services, special events and online broadcasts across multiple campuses.
- Act as Production Director / Service Producer for Sunday services and serve as Production Manager for major events (Easter, Christmas, Conferences, Vision Weekend), including pre-production planning, run sheets, budgeting and technical rehearsals.
- Maintain, develop and upgrade AVL systems and broadcast workflows; set technical standards, documentation and systems for multi-campus consistency.
- Recruit, train, mentor and empower a healthy, high-performing culture among staff (~7 direct reports) and volunteer production teams (~35 volunteers); identify and develop emerging leaders.
- Provide live service support and real-time troubleshooting to ensure reliability and technical excellence.
- Manage production budgets, vendor coordination and logistics; ensure compliance with safety, risk and operational standards.
Selection Criteria: - A committed disciple of Jesus Christ who aligns with FCC’s mission, vision and values.
- Substantial experience in creative direction and live production — ideally 8+ years in technical production, live event management, broadcast or touring environments.
- Proven leadership managing staff and volunteers, with a track record of building teams and developing leaders.
- Strong working knowledge of AVL systems and broadcast workflows (for example: Dante audio, lighting consoles, video switching, ProPresenter).
- Experience translating theological themes into compelling service flow, visuals and digital content.
- Excellent organisational, project management and problem-solving skills; calm and decisive under pressure.
- A heart for ministry and servant leadership, with a passion for creating excellent, distraction-free worship and event environments.
