Transport and Logistics Coordinator

Auckland Airport is New Zealand’s largest airport operator that manages domestic and international passenger and cargo services, serving as the primary aviation gateway for Auckland and the wider country.The Transport and Logistics Coordinator at Auckland Airport is an airport operations role focused on keeping traffic, buses, loading areas, and terminal access running smoothly every day. It is much more operational than a typical office-based logistics coordinator position. Main ResponsibilitiesTraffic ManagementMonitor real-time traffic conditions around the airport.Identify congestion, bottlenecks, or disruptions.Implement solutions such as rerouting vehicles, opening overflow parking, or deploying additional transport resources.Transport OperationsManage pick-up/ drop-off (PUDO) areas.Oversee airport bus services and SkyBus operations.Ensure inter-terminal buses run efficiently and meet service requirements.Terminal OperationsReview and approve terminal works that could affect airport operations.Provide operational advice for construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.Help maintain safe and efficient passenger flows.Incident & Event ManagementMake quick decisions during busy travel periods, emergencies, and special events.Implement contingency plans when traffic conditions change unexpectedly.Conduct post-event reviews and recommend improvements.Reporting & CoordinationPrepare transport and traffic updates for daily operational meetings.Communicate with stakeholders such as airport teams, transport operators, and government agencies.Coordinate with the Auckland Transport Operations Centre and NZ Transport Agency on traffic issues. Skills and Experience RequiredAt least 3 years' experience in transport operations, transport engineering, aviation, or a similar operational environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Experience working in a fast-paced, high-risk operational environment.Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.Microsoft Office proficiency.Experience with data analysis and reporting is an advantage.Pay: From $5,833.00 per monthBenefits:
